I was only able to make it on Sunday but there was still some great action. Thanks to all the pilots for a great show. 14 videos and 77 photos are on FlightPass:

If I can get time this coming building season we might have two Zirioli panthers there.

Maybe we could settle for some good ground shots...

Sounds awesome Bob, I imagine the stock Ziroli will be dwarfed beside the bigger composite ones but there will definitely be more pride in turning a pile of wood into a scale jet versus an assembled ARF. Mine is in primer and pretty smooth, just needs some surface detail before paint. Already have all the scale gear doors made. I'm only lacking the expensive parts now; nosegear, wheels/brakes, tailpipe, radio... Dad may graciously lend me his P70 ;-) I built mine completely stock, Ihope the structure is sound enough for the extra weight and stress of turbine flying. There are a bunch of build threads on here, and some have said they fly the stock build with no failures (yet) Hate to see the wings fold up after all that work....

Hey All!
I have an announcement to make and this will be the right place to do it for now.
"First in Flight" Jet Rally organizers Larry Lewis and Michael Hollowell met with the city of Wilson, NC planning committee at their monthly meeting this morning to "debrief" our 2010 event. They reported that the meeting was VERY positive and the board was quite impressed by what they had witnessed! In fact, they cordially invited us back and already want to put some official dates on their 2011 calender.
In keeping with our original pledge not to impose upon the traditonal dates of the Mid Atlantic Jet Rally, I personally contacted CD Frank Rega this afternoon and asked if he was going to use those dates in 2011. He immediately offered them to me for FiF and applauded our efforts to start such a wonderful new event on the East coast. In fact, he would have been there himself if he had not had surgery near that date this year! And he and Frankie will be with us in 2011.
I'd like to formally thank Frank and his small team who have put on the Fentress event for so many years and am honored that he would offer us his dates. We don't want to see Fentress drop off the event calender and hopefully it won't. But we will carry on the tradition of hosting a quality Memorial Day weekend jet event for all of you in the Eastern US at our awesome site in Wilson, NC and look forward to making it memorable for you!
Spread the word....mark your calenders....make your vacation plans early....First in Flight is on for 2011!

Same here - mine is blown up to 80'' WS, but its still a Ziroli wood pile. Its been an on-going 8+ year project, but I should be able to finish it this winter - I'm just about to the primer stage right now...

Great news that it's on again for next year.
Too bad about the date choice though.
I'd prefer any other weekend in April, May or June except on SEFF week.
