http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JX2u6...eature=related go to 3 min 20 sec ..you are right soot is carbon ..my point was that the carbon build up is caused by lack of oxygen which is not an issue in our turbines....all fuels are hydro-carbons...in the vid you will see the effects of oxygen...I liked this experiment alot myself [8D]

How much 2 stroke oil do you mix with 5 gal? Do you still use 5% or is it less?
I have been using 4% or 1:25 2 stroke oil and Kero (paraffin).

Another reason diesel isnt widely used, the sulphur in diesel fuels reacts and degrades inconnel at high temperatures!!!!

Hi guys,

I have Jetcat P-80se, JJ3000 and ATJ 120Ti.

What do you say about the liqui-moly http://www.liqui-moly.de/liquimoly/p...id/e_1233.html

Worth buying ?

I'v been toying with the idea of using 28 second heating oil (Kerosene) in my turbines, but have not plucked up the courage, I hoped someone else would be first. [

Mike

I've been using it for 8 years along with both DTE light and normal turbine oil. Zero problems.

Dave:

Apparently Jet-A contains more sulfur than Diesel.

What do you think?
