Default best way to repair pulled out gear

Is there a consensus on the best way to remount landing gear if the screws have been pulled from the hardwood blocks? Do you fill the holes with epoxy and retap or drill out holes and plug with hardwood dowels and retap or ??

What have you found to work best?

Steve, I've gone the wooden dowel route and its never faild me so far. Just epoxy the dowel in place and retap if you want.
I don't use wood screws for retracts. I use machine screws with blind nuts on the back side. I rarely have a failure using this method. If anything if the landing's that bad I pull the gear blocks out too.

Thanks Bob. I sure don't want the bocks to pull out - that would be a major repair, so I think I will stick with screws for now.
