Maybe he should change his name to UNluckyflyer!
That statement is fitting with what happend with his purchase. Since then, he has moved on to a different mfg. of turbine and is very happy with the performance AND the mfg. support.
Completely understand. Mfg support is my #2 most important criteria in buying a turbine, with reliability being #1.

Thanks, I have 2 jetcats now and 1 jet central. I agree both great with great service and will likely stick with them. Just looking at what else is available and the Evo looked pretty high tech and advertises life time warranty now. After reading this thread and a few others, I think best to play it safe and go with what I know.

You are a wise man. I only wish this database of information was available to me when I was making my decision on what turbine to purchase. And to the Evo fanboyz, I have a very low time Evo 120 that I would make someone a hell of a deal on.

evoJet does not make a 120, so a small issue there.

If you have a 90 I would be interested.

He has both the 90 and the 160. Send him a PM on the 90.

wow....talk about entertaining! LOL.

ANY turbine can have issues...what really counts is the manufacturer support. EVO has shot themselves in the foot on this one. I will stick with JetCat. Would like to try a Jet Central someday too...[8D]

Wow...old thread made new! I hear EvoJet has a new distributor and a service center for the US. I just heard this news about a week ago so I don't know much else about it.

EVO Jet has a new US distributor now. Rob Lynch at The House of Power Hobbies in Ft. lauderdale is now the exclusive distributor and EVO now also has a US based service center, with all service and repairs being performed by Carlos of RTI Techonology.

This all was finalized within the past couple of weeks so all is well with EVO again.

They are also about to release a 100 FWIW...

that's good news. i have heard of evojet horror stories as far as service goes. once you get past that they look like nice engines. carlos has been in the turbine scene since it all started from what i gather. i'm in the process of getting one in a plane and was a little concerned about repairs . thanks for the input. i'm looking forward to upgrading my intro to a higher end bird though you'll NEVER catch me saying anything bad against the baby boomer. they fly so good. would love to do a large f-16 but i fly off 700' grass runways and i think it would get beat up bad as far as the landing gear goes. anyways .. thanks again for the info.
