Default Jets in France (HA) ?

Hi guys,

I'm playing around with the idea of taking a jet on my holiday, do you guys know of a flying-location / club / site in this area:

There is this flying site, they have basically set it up as a resort.

I remember that site from an ad I read somewhere. it looks very nice indeed!

But maybe there also are some less luxurious fields in the area?

here's a list of the clubs in the area http://www.ffam.asso.fr/guidedesterr....php?cdam=2005 , but I'm not sure it's the best place to fly a jet, you'd better have a glider !

or you can try your luck at the local airfield ( in Gap ) but it is very busy with a lot of gliders and skydivers so they may not be very cooperative....

Hello Florent,

thanks! I go there quite regularly, to a small home on the top of a mountain (Near Rosans, tiny village). Gliders are fun indeed, but I was hoping to do some jet-flying in the area as well

I might just get that Opus-V glider and strap my kolibri to it

Hi Hans,
The best place to fly jets in the south is probably le domaine du planet. It's not expensive if you only pay for access to the runaway.
Unfortunately, jet flying is banned for summer time from most fields in the south because of risks of fire.
If you want to go the domaine du planet, let me know. I fly there.
Regards,
Yann

Hi Yann,

I can understand about the fire risk and the bans. Saw two fires coming too close to 'my' home for my taste in S.France.

If I can get some guys together to fly at le domaine du planet, I'll be sure to contact you!

Hans
