Default F-14 with a single engine ???

There are a few threads going that share a similar bunch of questions, , an F14 using only one engine.
Not to derail the SM thread, or any thread, I'll put my findings here.

A couple years ago, I looked into what it would take to fit a single engine into an F14.

The big handicap is the middle section between the two exhaust ducts.

This plan is at 1/5 scale.
At 1/5 scale, you could comfortably fit a 5" dia engine in the middle, maybe a bit more.
The span would be a monsterous 153".

Everything is buildable.

The issues would be:
1. How much would something this big weigh
2. Would the weight be too much for a single engine

Default RE: F-14 with a single engine ???

An F14 with one engine is not an F14.
