RE: ATTN: FUTUBA Radio Users
Thanks for the link, the upgrade came in extremely timely and helpful to me !
I did just upgrade my 14MZ, from version 1.2 to version 1.44.
Finally you can easily link a Mode 2 trainee TX with a Mode 1 teacher TX, because any incoming trainee signal can be allotted to any teacher channel.
This is also very handy for example when having twin booms and twin rudders and a nose wheel steering servo, with the "FUNC" trainer channel option.
I also like the immediate "on air" transmission when using 2.4 Ghz TX modules. Other than for saving perhaps some battery juice in a very rare case, it was no longer necessary to have this unlogical "power on" step every time.
And yes, the software converts automatically the model data files to the new higher software version (pay attention : backwards conversion is not possible, so make a backup of your CF card data first (after you have made first a copy of all model data files from your transmitter memory to the CF card)).
I only regret they still have not made a dedicated simple program for a gears/doors sequencer, which is so important for our jets. I know it can be done with the present software, but they should OR explain it better in the user manual OR make a separate and simple sequencer in the menu, which is easy to understand and operate by everyone. Now it still is an annoying task of trial and error....

Guys does the back up have to done? or is all well after the upgrade, last upgrade I did to my 12FG did nothing to the model set ups, I wonder why Futaba still say the multiprop can not be used with 2.4Ghz.

Highhorse
Its a bit like PC's back up to another hard drive, then back up to an external hard drive, then back up to another PC, how many back ups do I need.
I have two 12FG's and have all the models on both, I was just interested if anyone who has done the latest upgrade had any problems.

Just updated my 12Fg with NO PROBLEMS at all..
The two major things for me were the Huge Timer and the Trainer/student channel assignments.

RE: ATTN: FUTUBA Radio Users
The new timer function is just a larger font on the screen and the ability to switch between timer one and two, the other bit not mentioned is the ability to change models from the home screen instead of having to go into the linkage menu, very neat and much quicker.
