Hi Peter,

You workmanship is a continuing revelation! AWESOME!

Let me understand this correctly: What you are building now is the plug, from which you will still have to make a mold to produce your final kit, correct? So, will this be a one piece fuselage? Will you have to cut this plug into separate pieces to mold the individual parts?

Hi David, you are correct. The fuselage will be in one piece but the mold shells in three pieces, 1 for the top and two for the under side. All the rest will be separate molded.

Yessssssssssss, the fuselage is closed with aluminium. Just added the last hinge above the intake.
Next step is adding the details on the nose cone.

If they did, very, very few of us could afford to buy them! I can't even imagine how much Peter would need to charge for a kit to cover the amount of time & effort he has put into this project! Obviously a labor of love!

Peter,

It still amazes me how much detail you continue to add to the F-16. When I grow up i want to be just like you. LOL. By the way when you finished the F-16 and you are still bored and need another project to detail I'm almost done with the SU-34 mold. Just kidding.

Thank you for sharring the pics, and cheers for raising up the standards in scale model building.

David, a lot of love is priceless haha.

Joe, there is one problem....... my attic is too small for your bigg SU otherwise......... .
Soon I wil try to make some pictures of the whole finished plug, now I am busy to make cnc files for the landing gear in edgecam. First have to learn how .
This will spare a lot of time and money if I had to outsource it.

Peter,

I haven't checked in on your project in quite a while. I have to say that is the finest metal work I have ever seen on a plug. You surely will have a one of a kind museum quality model when you are done.

I wish I could put that kind of work into my 1:5.5 SU-22M4 right now.

Your craftsmanship is simply fabulous!

Dan

Dan,

Post a link on the SU-22, I would love to see both your SU-22 and my Su-34 fly in formation one day.

Cheers,
Joe

Made some preperations for the cockpit so it can be molded later.

Back end of cp, 3 layers of plywood in a vacuum bag to get the right shape for the bottom.
