Tail tip skid included with our package;)
Rudder cable route.
Another nose Oleo option, but not with the supplied wheel! Ideal main Oleo on other small P-20 jets!!

Rudder servo cable taped over and light ply cover, glued onto the servo mount to protect the servo from heat soak.
As std the kit comes with paired elevator servos, so that a single channel can be used with a Y lead, I want to use 2 channels and although that's easy with this set-up the LH arm heading for the duct/turbine is not ideal. Easy mod', trim the support block and take 2mm from it and the tube will align with the opposite side.
Decided to tint te canopy glass too before installing the tub and a pilot.

Mrs W out with the girls has given me some workshop time, so tail pipe in. Rails give turbine correct spacing and support the tailpipe. Augmenter? will help suck the heat from the fuselage. 4 pcs 6mm sq hard wood space the pipe centrally.

You sure do love your blue canopy tint. This one, and at least 2 Nano's so far. [&:]

Decided that my first choice smoke would be too dark with this scheme, I have plenty of models with the Blue tint ;) something bright to pick out on a dark scheme.

What is the solution for brakes? So far this setup would be out of regulation with the AMA.

There is a choice of wheel brakes out there...whether they are any use on a 7lb model and 2 square cm of contact? I've not read the ruling recently to know the exact requirements from the AMA rule.

I suspect the rule was made well before small turbines like this were envisaged.............. Change the rule I say

Can you send some links for these brakes? Where can I purchase them?

THanks

Wiring just about completed, I used two stock Y leads to make the U/C harness. Nose unit in with stock wire leg for now (need to machine a wheel for the oleo I want to use)

TamJets are making some oleo's and brake combos specifically for the Habu 32, try emailing him for prices.

Long day installing and I'm just about there, few stickers and a systems check should allow a motor test run tomorrow.

Three flights today before rain stopped play, brilliant model. Final weight ended up just over 6.5lb with some nose weight added. The main U/C could go back a bit which would make ground handling even better, those fitting TL oleo's will get that. For me I'm happy with the wire legs that even on our long wet grass did not bend. I'll fit a nose oleo to improve the look. Very little trimming required, though flap/elevator was needed with the small 3/16" 5mm Crow i'm running, 10% on TO and 25% on landing, I'll measure amounts soon. I also need to check actual balance point as flown, which seems good and in KE tracked well.
Slow flight is great, very powerful flaps allow super power slow landings.
Trevor managed to get a little video of the test flight and will post sometime.

JR 331 on all main controls except Rudder which has a JR 362. Nose steering is a MG New Power, as I needed opposite rotation for Y lead rudder/steering. Controls are Thr, Ail 1,Elev 1, Rudder/steering, Gear, Flap 1, Ail 2, Elevator 2, flap 2.

Tam-get on it then!

Yes they fly really well, and yes they need nose weight ;)
