E FLIGHT 120 RETRACTS AND THE NANO

Hi Guys
Can someone please help?
Has any one managed to fit the E Flight 120 size electric retracts in the Nano.
The mains fit a treat no problem. The nose retract unit sticks well out of the fuzz,
so the whole of the nose gear is hanging out the bottom.
Expensive mistake to make only discoverd this after i fitted the mains and cut the legs to lenght.
Many thanks Steve

Steve

Yes. you mount the nose unit above the rails. We provide details when the customer goes with this set-up.

Hi Dave
Just been looking at that idea.
Didnt get very far?
Care to share?does this take major surgery to the former that holds the hardwood mounts?
If the answer is too long shall i phone you at the shop tomorrow.
Many thanks Steve.
Ps the Jet cat 120 intake fitted a treat.

Glue M3 spike nuts to the retract frames.
Cut the rear former so you can "post" the unit in from the rear, you need long M3 bolts. The rails need a big notch cutting into them for the steering arm clearance.

Hi Dave thanks for the info will give it a go. I take it you still use the closed loop steering?
Many thanks, as usual Dave to the rescue.

Regards Steve.

I had my first flight last week with eflights. Good so far !!!!! Use a 40/40 rod and clevis for the nose. Also reverse the wheels on the mains so they don't hang up.
