RE: JETPOWER 2012 products WOW !
Flights of the day for me were: Seb Art flying his Avanti The Bishop boys with the Hawks The two J10's Ali flying his electric hair drier F86 And the last flight of the day was 6 Skygate L39,s in formation. Pity one of them was lost at the end of the display and only 5 came home. Thats the Horizone team down to 2 tomorrow. Great pity</p> |

RE: JETPOWER 2012 products WOW !
ORIGINAL: TimWatson And here we have the Airworld Skyrunner 300. I was taking the pics and I think I heard the guy from Airworld saying is was 690 Euro. I was interested up until that point. Well it is airworld fiberglass [img][/img] For that money if I am correct you would think they would have moulded in a hand hold on the bottom |

Ali,
If you get a spare second, could you ask Airworld if there will be a version of the Skyrunner with retract mounts fitted? If so, I might be interested in one. |

Arrived home a few hours back after a fantastic day at JP yesterday! Must thank my travelling companions Andy Aldridge and Ian Bailey for endless banter...made a long journey short!
A few pics follow...far too much of interest for me to mention everything, but major thanks to Ralf of Tailormade for taking time out (about an hour!) to describe in detail how he finished, decaled and weathered one of Marijn Penninx's big F-16s. Ralle is a total master of his art and has made me an absolutely superb set of rub-ons for my FEJ A-7! Anyway, a few pics of static stuff follows (am waiting for the flying shots that Loz Hughes has taken!)... Cheers, Dick |

RE: JETPOWER 2012 products WOW !
The new Weatronic transmitter has a feature that really impressed me. The throttle stick can be easily set by the user so that the throttle function operates from 30% to 100% of the sticks movement and as the stick is pulled back to flight idle it stops on the detente at 30% travel, if the user then pulls back against the 30% detente the travel from 30% to 0% is against a spring and is the brake function, this will be superb if a proprtional brake is fitted to the model. If other Tx manufacturers could offer this feature as a modification to existing sets that would be the icing on the cake !

Well just back in our hotel after an amazing last day at Jetpower. Amazing flying today the team/syncro for so many teams was amazing. The flight of the full size macchi with his son flying a model in syncro was the highlight of the show for me and of course we all got to see Yves Rossy the jet man doing his stuff jetting around with 4 Jetcat P200SX's and then parachuteing to ground.</p> What an excellent Jetpower this has been with brilliant weather.</p> If you have never been make the effort and go next year it is well worth it</p> |

Now while the Reds Duo (The Bishop Boys) were amazing as ever and did the UK proud. I was amazed at how good some of the other countries teams are getting
Now dont you think Ali being one of the best in the world needs to team up with a mate from the UK and create a 2nd UK team to knock the competition into touch. |

Who makes the Focke Wulf Flitzer?

RE: JETPOWER 2012 products WOW !
I wonder if Weatronics is considering the potential glare issues from the polished finishes as well as the screen. Also, the difficulty of keeping the finishes looking nice could prove to be a challenge depending on the types of material used in manufacturing. Are they planning FCC approval for use in the US?

ORIGINAL: siclick33 Ali, If you get a spare second, could you ask Airworld if there will be a version of the Skyrunner with retract mounts fitted? If so, I might be interested in one. Hi Darren. I spoke to Airworld own Hans Dieter and he confirmed what I thought. The wing is just 20mm thick so getting a retract in there would be an issue. Although having a look at the example of the Skyrunner that I bought back with me, I see no reason why a single centre wheel would not work. I will be leaving mine hand launch as it seemed to fly away from the chuck so well. Regards Al |
