I have just finished the L59, had 4 flights on it ,first flight was a bit hairy as I had the C of g too far back .flies really nice now I fixed that small problem ,I have 200g of lead in the nose to correct balance looks and flies very nice ,good choice for the P20Chris

I have done one of these also for the p20 but have not flown it yet. Where did you finish up with the CH

Hi BPNot sure what you mean with the CH, if you mean c of g its 30mm back from the leading edge where the tip tanks join the wingtipsChris

Received mine all the way to NewZealand in perfect condition. It was double boxed and everyting in box was taped in place with plenty of bubble packs around parts. Well done Hobbyking

This is my HK L-59 flying with a Wren-44 Dry weight 4,2 Kg.

I have now change the Wren-44 for a Sprite turbine, and empty weight is 3,8 Kg, ( lighter engine and I have removed the nose lead) I have no videos with the Sprite engine.. Landings are better.

Awsome! hope mine flys as well as yours. I am going to power mine with an 80mm E-Flite EDF which I removed from my composite F4 phantom. This unit was producing 5.4 lbs static thrust in my phantom using 6s battery. The lighter weight of this EDF& battery pack compared to the larger 90mm recommended unit should hopefully work well as the all up flying weight will be less than my F4 Phantom and the L-59 has larger wing area and lighter wing loading.

Fantastic Felix! I wanted to put a wren44 in mine a few years back, but couldnt find a used one. This model is one of the best for its size. Great flying!

I did hit 165mph with the EDF but always felt this model deserved a turbine so I sold it.

Thank you.
Actually this is the second flight, the hard landing was because the fuel tank was long, and the fuel was mving inside. Now is solved with a shorter new fiberglass tank. Compare the pictures.

Felix can you please advise position that you have set your center of gravity?

Thanks, wayne

CG is set at 78 mm of the leading edge.
