Thief in Sarasota, FL

1 Attachment(s)
Early on Wednesday 9/26/12 in Sarasota Florida my trailer was broken into at my home. A Word Jet Models (WJM) Rafale was stolen. It is painted all black. You cannot miss it. It has a Jet Central Rhino turbine with a Fly Eagle door sequencer and brake valve. A Futaba 14 channel 2.4 receiver was inside. There can't be many planes like this in the whole country, and maybe none like it in Florida.

Also stolen was a Gold Wing 100CC MSX in the Yellow and Blue Matt Hall scheme. It has a DA 100 in it with a 7 Channel Futaba 2.4 receiver. The thief did not take the wings or wing tube.

A Futaba 10CAP radio was also stolen.

If anyone shows up at a field or tries to sell any of this stuff, it is not his and is STOLEN. Please call the Sarasota County Sheriff and report it. Let's catch the Bast$%rd!

Turbine serial # JF170-299

Thanks for your help.

Alden

Dont forget to call the local pawn shops! A visit to them with photos to leave with them would be wise as well

Thanks for all the advice. Spent the day visiting hobby shops and all the pawn shops in the area, giving them potos, serial numbers, case number, etc. The owner's of the pawn shops indicated that the thief would likely go out of state if they are pros. I think they were amateurs, but look out Georgia!

Just to answer the question asked, I rent an apartment and did not have insurance that covered my loss. I figure I am out around $11,000. It will take a while to recover.
