Huge Boulton Paul P111 1:3 scale
There is so little scratch building on this forum that people must have forgotten that people actually build models with balsa and ply.
Here is a monster project being built in Germany of one of my favourite UK aircraft, the cute Boulton Paul P111. It is huge, 1:3 scale with wingspan 4.25M and weight of 50 Kg and powered by a Sturzkopf Frankk turbine of 40 Kg thrust. More detail and pictures can be seen on the RC-netwrok site. It uses a forest of balsa in its construction. http://www.rc-network.de/forum/showthread.php/362189-Die-wird-auch-richtig-groß-Boulton-Paul-P.111-(Moosbauer-Richter) John |

What about your P111 John, any closer to the maiden flight? I am looking forward to seeing it fly perhaps at a CJ next year?

Harry
Yes it is ready to fly just waiting on the right conditions and having 3 people available. As soon as it has flown I will bring it to one of the CJ events. This one makes mine look small!! John |
