Can someone help me out here...not sure what angle to install these sticks.
Please see photos attached. My turbine mounting rails is what I used to attach my old fashioned smoke sticks to (First Photo). Due to the way the mounting tabs on these new Tam-sticks are spot-welded, if I were to install them by attaching them to the turbine mounting rails like my older sticks, the new stick would need to be bent in towards the turbine exhaust in a manner such that the curved lip at the tip of the stick is neither in position "a" nor "b" as demonstrated by Tam or Todd. Instead the curved lip would be pointing UP towards the top of the plane. Not good, is it? I understand that Rev. Russ top mounted his sticks to his actual turbine using his turbine mounting brackets, but I do not have room and also use a full bypass. Surely mounting your smoke sticks on the turbine cannot be the only answer, is it??? [&:] What are my remedies? Just set it up as pictured in my second photo, and dont worry about which way the curling lip points? If I do that, then whats the point of arguing whether position "A" or "B" is better when I can simulate neither? What am I missing here....Any ideas fellas? Tam? Todd? Thanks in advance. Shaz |

Mount the engine strap and that how I design it.
Mount to the rail you can bend neither A or B. BTY, Duky paying for my smoke use. Either A or B work as good. |
RE: LOTS OF SMOKE WITH HALF THE OIL!
No room Tam. Full Bypass and tight space! Any other options?

This weekend we having fun and got a chance to see Russ Super Hornet Tamjets Smoke system in action.
He has 30oz tank smoke onboard. After the flight and he still had at least 6oz remaning. That is very good smoke and use just under 24oz. The bifurcated pipe smoke good... |

Next time we meet at BW....
Junior need sign off for turbine waiver. Jimmy donate his boomerange for Sean and Kyle (Jimmy son) train on turbine aircraft. Our boys is our next generation pilots. Sean is getting really good. He can fly well and learn the charactic of his plane quick and adjust his flying with it. Here is his few flight with Habu 32. John H. can't even landed without bust the gear....LOL. RE: LOTS OF SMOKE WITH HALF THE OIL!
Nice F-18 clip. Equally impressive is the guy at 1:48 looking down at his TX to find the smoke switch during a low low pass! [X(]
