RE: Futaba splines on hitec servos
move to consistency within the industry.....the 8000 series will be spline compatable with a large number of other servos making them a viable upgrade particularly to the surface crowd who have constraints of specialized OEM steering lingages.....and, incidently, a huge market for servos..... They buy a lot more servos than us airplane guys......

RE: Futaba splines on hitec servos
well what are JR and Airtronics planning on doing? Also if this has a move to consistency, then other manufacturers should also adopt futaba style Plugs with the J to avoid putting the servo in the wrong way.

If you look close on the Hitec link Siclick33 provided it says :
"Note: Due to it's ultra narrow dead band this servo is not recommended for aircraft use.".... Are you guys using these in Jets ?? Danno |
