More details to follow when I have them
|
5 meters long? That is 16.404 feet! That's way to large for one person to handle at the field, or in the shop.
I don't understand the affection for such large jets. If you buy one, you better get a big trailer..... |
I think the dimensions are wrong....
1/5 would make it 3,19m (126,6") long and place the wingspan at 2,19m (86"). That would be perfect and, if built lightly, might just make the 55lbs. |
I was waiting for on of this long time and finly I hope the price will not kill my dreams.

I was very close to buy the laser cut kit to build 140" long eurofighter I just don't have the time to do ,finishing the 1:4 scale panther and two more project ahead .i hope the price is rite and the have kit version no paint and price close less than the aviation design big mirage 2000.
|
I'll ask factory to get accurate dimensions. At the moment 5m length makes it 1/3 scale, 2.7m span makes it 1/4.....should be approx 3.8m long and 2.75m span for approx 1:4 scale
Smitty will correct a little later  |
Mark's post shows the corrected dimensions..
It was early morning, and I also had the scale dreamliner (future project) on my mind when I posted.. |
The PROJECTED, I STRESS.. PROJECTED retail price is $9500 with scale landing gear.
We envisioned this jet being able to go from box to a scale competition with minimum effort on the buyers side. Also comes in a custom 2 part shipping case. Even the case has panel lines and scale details of the fuselage. The wing box was designed after the storage case used to carry munition support equipment. Just to keep the military vibe. |

Again I'm going to hijack a thread, but it's for another member of the family....

Funny enough I happened to see one in about that size fly in Germany the other weekend at the Kolibri meeting.(no it was not kolibri powerd...) Looks like an indoor flyer in the sky with it's light wing loading :) |
Going to be 3.8m long and 2.7m span making it 1:4.2
With latest techniques under 55lb should be comfortable. Just been talking to factory and they've agreed to offer a split fuselage version as well as one piece to cater for transport and storage. Split point will need to be at inlet. Will be ducted and likely offer twin and single engine setups. I'm trying to get them to move away from the large hatch underneath. Hopefully that will improve access to. Few months aeay away but they're focusing on it quite a lot now. |
I understand that those pictures are from rc custom jets..But where do you get a 140 wood kit?
