Chief Aircraft / Skymaster USA Release of New 1:3.5 Hawk T1 and Hawk 100
3 Attachment(s)
The new large Hawk will be released at Jetpower! We will be taking orders on the new hawk for the next container and airfreight orders anytime after! It is available in both the T1 and 100 configurations. This is a large bird, about the same size as the Tomahawk. Specs on the airframes are below the pictures!
Email me at [email protected] for more info and availability! I will be receiving my demo here around November and will post a Chief Build thread and videos so that I will be available to answer detailed questions about the aircraft's build and flight setups! http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2113444 http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2113484 http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2113486 T1 Specs Scale: 1:3.5Wingspan: 104 in (2650mm) Length: 130.5 in (3330mm) w/ Probe Power: 42 lb (20kg) Thrust Turbine:: 180N and Up Servos: Requires 10-12 Standard Size Hawk 100 Specs Scale: 1:3.5 Wingspan: 108 in (2720mm) w/ Tip Pylons Length: 137 in (3480mm) w/ Probe Power: 42 lb (20kg) Thrust Turbine:: 180N and Up Servos: Requires 10-12 Standard Size Radio: 12+ Channel (Required) |

Likai has his big hawk ready!
|
Hmmm, looks great but it's sitting way too low on that grass pic. Is that the final gear? Struts pumped up etc? Unlike Likai to get it wrong????
|
yes, we just finished the LG with the gear doors installed., we do not install the P-200 with the tailpipe yet., so How much pressure do not measure the amount of perfusion ., after install the P-200 with the servos and batts that we will measure it !

This looks to be another great product from skymaster!!!! looking forward to building one of these babies!!!
|
Can Skymasters make a true T-45 hawk in all sizes. Pretty Please
:D David |

yes, the T-45 in my list projects., Thank you for suggested, but 2016 and 2017 projects are full .,
I just got the LG from Likai., we will install to Hawk 100 in Skymaster factory as soon, http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2115647 |
I totaly agree that a true T-45 in this size will be a block buster !
|
Looks good, but how does that u/c mechanically lock in and out? .
|

the cylinders of Nose gear and main gears included the air lock function.,

Ok so if the air runs out or the pressure is low, they are not locked, either up or down?.
But If I am wrong then what is an "Air Lock Function" and how does it work? |

Be interesting to see how the stab is set up servo wise and some test flying video too - big bird indeed and love the 'scale' gear look too....

When the landing gear cylinder reaches full travel it locks. Air pressure in the opposite direction unlocks it. There is a small pin inside that locks the gear cylinder internally. The F-14 has this system in the nose gear and works great.

Ok got it thanks. Looks like a nice system. |
Hi, may I ask that what is the actual length of fuse without the probe?
Thank you. Behzad |

Cheers Geoff, so same way the current raft of big Hawks are done - was wondering if he would have used and designed an clever new system which allows for redundancy.

Chief Aircraft has over 10 of these arriving here in the USA on the container around November! You can get yours via DHL or our alternate container! Email [email protected] for more information!

This Hawk looks great. Maybe have to get this one on the list
|
That nose gear setup looks very nice and clean Anton! Locking mechanism saves a lot of space and extra components. Very nice, works very well on the nose gear of my F-14.

Can someone post a picture of the model sat on tarmac RTF. There is just something that looks wrong with the length of the gear or maybe the spring rates? Skymaster always always get the gear spot on so I'd be surprised if they made a mistake on this one - but it just doesn't look right. Here's how a large Hawk should look sat on its gear....

Interesting you're posting pictures of models as examples instead of posting pictures of the full size airplanes .
|
Also your pictures are all skygate Hawks . Should we be flattered :-) ?
|
Hey its all good, just shows that the Skygate Hawk is 124" long where the Skymaster is 130 with the probe.

It does sit up pretty high. Well high enough to be able to carry a centerline tank!

My pics were all actually all of the Tomahawk Hawk as they're the same size ;-)
Anyway, Danny are you able to confirm the gear is 100% scale in terms of length etc. Anton always told me his intention was for this Hawk to be competition ready so I'd have thought the gear would be spot on. I just can't see it being right - I've been a Hawk aficionado for about 10yrs and something is jarring with me. Like I said, maybe the wrong strength springs are in place at the moment and it's just squatting too much..... |
