Default Rock Crawlers??????????

Go to www.mudcow.com or http://www.orp.com.au/rc_madness.htm to see some sweet pics and movies of what they can do. They don't top about 6-10 mph so don't get mad when they are slow, they are made for the most torque as possible to climb over some very amazing stuff.

A Tamiya Clodbuster (you need a ESP Clodzilla chassis or a RCGuy.com Geko Chassis to become a real rockcrawler). Or a Tamiya TXT-1. They are good crawlers, the are straight axle so they can articulate a whole hell of a lot, some even 90 degrees.

www.rc4wd.com has parts for most trucks comonly associated with rock crawling. they have cnc complete clod gear cases, and other custom things like that as well.

Default X-factor

you should get the x-factor for climbing the rocks because they are made for huge things like rocks and they are not small like all of the other rock climbers

Ummmm.... No.... The X-factor is better but whatever. It has tons of more articulation. Read this thread it will explain everything about rock crawling http://rcuniverse.com/showthread.php...06&forumid=216

Default Rock Crawlers??????????

Mostly on these boards rock crawlers aren't really talked about much. These boards usually contain people who like and talk mostly about nitros (T-Maxx, Savage, EK4, Titan, X-factor, and other nitro MTs) and a few electrics.

Anyhow there are other boards like RCJim's, RCMT, clodtalk, and other boards for that.

By the way Nitros don't really make good Rockcrawlers. It doesn't mean there aren't but most are electric due to the torque and lower speed needed. You can't expect to gun it while you are trying to go over large rocks!! Hehe

You don't need to be an ass, but I know you said electric and I understand but sometimes people are people and don't pay close attention.

When you talk about Rock crawlers, it usually consists of TXT-1s, Clods, and Juggernaut2s. Out of the box the TXT-1 is the best crawler, but modified clods are awesome and so are modified Juggernauts. The clods usually are noted high due to the fact that the motors are mounted on the axles which eliminate driveshafts which help eliminate torque rolls, but in realism can't beat the TXT-1 and Juggernauts.

Here is a link to a sweet rock crawling video at the URC.

URC Video

It's a stock TXT-1 with Lock Diffs and a Jeep Body which won the event.

Default Rock Crawlers??????????

hey i specifically said electric
plus this guy has also gone to other post of other people who wanted to now what the best ELECTRIC rock crawler was and he says the xtm nitro truck.
well first of all if he new anything he would now that most electric trucks will kill nitro trucks in rockcrawling, and secondly that the xtm sucks, and that the kyosho mad force beat the crap out of it in the competiton, so dont call me a jerk hes the one that is just trying to confuse everyone, maybe if he would read the post before he replied to one, we wouldnt have this little problem.

The XTM IS better then the Mad Force at crawling, this was discussed in another thread, RCCA kept the stabilizer on the X-Factor and XTM recomends you take it off for more articulation.

whys it better? lok at XTM customors support just about if not the best around. sure the mad force beats it in speed but its not meant to be fast. so as i see it i think that the X-F is a better truck IMO

yeah.. really?

electrics generate their highest torque output at 0rpm so that is why they are better at rock crawling. going off on someone like that, especially when you are new, doesnt rub off on the fellow forum members too well. ive gone anal on people like that before, but i make sure ive got a good reason...

as for on the topic, i saw a txt1 at my lhs last weekend, and i must say that thing has CRAZY articulation. the owner put in some brushless motors, or so he said. he was crawling all kinds of things outside, there werent any real real big rocks to go over so the suspension and stuff didnt meet its match.

Default Rock Crawlers??????????

Thanks for all the replies about Rock Climbers. The first thing I learned is they are Rock Climbers, not rock crushers...I will look on some of the sites yall told me about. Wish I heard of this forum sooner. Can I make a Rock Climber out of my E-Maxx???
Thanks Again, Glenn

Yea, go here http://www.rc4wd.com/shop/go.cgi?&sh...&Category=1520
Some people may say it is not a "true" rock crawler b/c it has independent suspension and is not straight axled.

Default Rock Crawlers??????????

their are actually independant crawlers starting to show up in full scale crawling. and i think that a gas crawler would be just as good as an electric and the xtm has way more articulation than the clod or txt-1 with 8 shocks the axle will be almost perp to the ground.

dont go around calling people dumbasses just because you can

HAHAHA Yea...... RIGHT !!!!! Your maxx can not articulate to almost a complete 90 degrees. You have to watch them all to fully see what the MudCow can do !! I would bet money your Maxx could not and would not out climb the MudCow.
