the revo will out bash that tmaxx night and day, cleaning your revo, or scratching its body is cheaper than constantly repairing a tmaxx. you wanna bash....use the revo, you want a second truck to bash get a savage. dont get me wrong i own a tmaxx, but has been upgraded to about as tough as you can make them and i still take it easy on the, but my savages...no holds barred, drop the hammer and watch the abuse!!-scott

yes i have read alot that the revo can take a bashing
its just it so nice right now and new
i have jumped it and so on and i has flipped a couple times but nothing major
so i wana keep it mint and use it more on road to race against friends

with that said maybe i will look into a used savage
or the older revo 5308

what about a rustler or firestorm? are these good bashers at all?
i just want something on the cheaper side and not have to worry to much about it breaking all the time if i go hard on it

To nice to bash? Hmm i'm sure you will wreck it and scratch it up, it's going to happen.

BUT if you want something that can BASH, get the Savage Flux HP, or if you don;t have that much money get an E-Savage or any Savage for that matter. Great trucks that take a serious beating.

The T-Maxx is a hunk of junk, i've owned two and wish I had not owned one ever. it's a money pit, in every sense of the word lol. That Revo will out bash a T_Maxx anyday.

Realistically, before anyone can give out a recommendation, we need to know your actual budget for this.

the money in my pocket that im willing to pull out is around 250

i found a revo 5308 with a sirio .23 in it for 250
but the guy doesnt no how many gallons of fuel ran through it and tires need replacing
so im not to sure its worth it cause for all i no the engine has had 10 gallons of fuel put through it and needs replacing or it could of had 1 gallon

anytime you purchase a used rc vehicle , consider the engine is blown up, always looka t it like the engine is blown up, no good, junk, paperwieght...lol
do you feel that revo is worth 250 with no engine, ?
always look at it this way-cheers

Yep every one has a good low hr engine, and figure shelling out cash on replacemt parts that need replaced. Most people don't fix up a rc car then sell it.

I'm confused, you bought a Revo and now your looking to buy another used revo to just bash? What are you planning on doing with the new one making it a shelf queen or something? If you already have a revo I would NOT buy another one especially used. I'd buy a Savage IMO so you have your choice between two different types of trucks, plus the Savage is the king of bashing and thats what your looking for a good basher.

Are you ONLY looking for NITRO or are you open to buying ELECTRIC as well? If so the E-Savage is a GREAT truck and I am quite sure you can snag a USED one off e-bay to meet your budget and the electric motors don;t go out very easily so you can be somewhat more confident buying an Electric vs. a nitro from a owner who may not have known how to tune well.

having the new revo as a shelf queen not so much
more like just coming out on the weekend to race against friends and slowly make my way to bashing it
in the mean while just looking into something id be more willing to bash right away
and trust me ive been on the hunt for a good savage for the past couple days
thanks for the imput
