body rolls means how much the body/car rolls (leans) when you do a corner... if you make a right turn with your car, you will notice the the right side is much higher then the left one becuase the car gets pulled out to the left by the g-force (actually the centrufugal force, don't know the english name for it) and the weight gets focused onto the left side gifing the right side less traction.
This creates an uneven weight distribution and basically you get less rubber down on the ground. sway bar prevents this from happening to a certain extent, but i don't really see the use for it on a MT, swaysing is part of what they do...
might be wrong in detial but the idea is the same

i want them more for onroad, when i got some onorad tires on and my suspension lowered. i figured a set of swaybars would help along with low profile street tires. i wouldnt use them for off road bashing, just for racing

in that case sway bars are great for increasing handling and cornering, you will (should) be able to go much faster in the corners. If you look at real cars sway bars is one of the number 1 handling improvments that can be done after tires and suspension (maybe even before suspension since sway bars are much cheaper then new suspension).
I havne't seen or tried this myself on rc cars but the idea should be the same as on regular cars...

This is true, if the sway bars are to hard they might transfer to much "power" to the corresponding shock, making both shocks to respond to a bump while only one has too so that both sides loose traction. In a way this takes away the whole idea of individual suspension, atleast with the travel that the MT shoks have.
Basically, sway bars are made for perfromcane cars, traction and cornering...

a way to make them is to go to a craft store and buy a metal rod. Cut it to the desired length with a hack saw, then bend it to how it looks in the pics. instead of drilling holes into your a-arms, attach them with a zip tie to the outside shock hole. It should work, It worked for me.
