Once i got my T-Maxx i couldn't put it down. It is the best addition i have ever made to my rc collection. The EZ start is okay but i wouldn't re-lie on the blue glow plug wire. If you can get a glow stick they work a lot better. As for the truck it wonderful. You will probably want to upgrade your shocks and skids later as it will increase durability. Good Luck with your new MAXX!

i odnt have a t-maxx but i have a s-maxx
its a great truck for me break was lik drinkin a coke lol easy. EZ start works great for break in IMO but then you should invest in a glow ignitor. i have had nothig but fun with my s-maxx and highly recomend it. o and the 2.5 is a good engine, it ruins great for me. You should also try to get a bette cooling head.

Have a standing order for bulkheads and body mounts. Also, buy a replacemnt EZ start unit they go bad after about 2 or 3 starts. Think about what you are going to replace the TRX 2.5 engine with. You'll get tired of the overheating and stalling after about 15 minutes. This is all from experience.

As far as what you need to take it home and run it. You'll need a fuel bottle and some fuel. Get a few spare glow plugs I use OS and they work great. you will aslo need 12 AA battereys for the truck and the radio and some CA glue for gluing the tires. If your a total newb to the hobbie or if your new to nitro WATCH THE DVD and save yourself some headaches. Aside from that you should be good to go, me personally i wouldn't buy upgrades for anything till it breaks. Get some use out of it before just taking it off for a new part. And trust me you will break stuff so there will be platy of parts to upgrade!

Congrats on the new truck! It sucks that everyone is dogging it when you need to know what get to run it. Odds are your lhs will try to sell you everything you need & maybe a few other things so be careful. I run a Savage so I have no idea what the Maxx needs but tenks seemed to have a good list. I'm thinking you might need a battery & charger for the EZ start but I could be wrong on that. Look at the box your maxx comes in, it should tell you the necessities. Don't upgrade until you break. It's amazing how long those "must have" replacement parts can sit around. I have around $100 in replacement parts just sitting in a drawer.
