Default What parts do I need to upgrade my Savage from a .21 to .26?

When I end up blowing my engine down the road, I want to upgrade from my .21 BB to a Picco .26. What parts are needed to make this happen? Brakes, clutch, differential? I want to start replacing now,so it's not so expensive all at once. I want to get a Pipe and air filter but why spend the money on that if I can't transfer those parts to my next upgrade. Any suggestions for my slow upgrade? Thanks.

The pipe and filter will be able to be used on the Pico engine. You'll want to get a 3shoe clutch setup and some Heavy Duty dogbones.I have a Mugen 3 shoe setup on my 8port Savage and HPI HD dogbones and HotBodies center CVD's.I think the Pico26 is a direct drop in engine, the other parts are just for added performance and strength.

the .26 is a direct drop in, this is what i upgraded.

1- mugen flywheel and 3 shoe clutch kit. 29 bucks ace hardware hobbies
2- ofna clutch nut- 6 bucks ace
3-ofna shim kit 5 bucks ace
4- hd dog bones all the way around
5- motorsaver air filter 20 bucks
6-rd logic pipe 59 bucks shipped hpidsavageforum.com
7- hotbodies metal vented disk brake
8- ofna 16t clutchbell

i have had probs with the bot bodies center shafts gone thru 3 in the rear, so i went back to the stock and no probs yet.

I would also consider the rotostart because the .26 pull start is very weak.
