Default Tower Hobbies' new flyer has AE MGT listed

I checked their web site and it's listed as due in mid September. I curious to hear if the MGT kicks butt, or is a lame duck.

I've been entertaining guests, buying a new Mazda MPV, and going on vacation. I haven't touched my RC's for at least a couple months. I kind of lost interest in my RC10, and I got sick of pissing around with the finicky 2.5 in my Maxx. Maybe if I slap a Fantom 18 in it I'd get the bug back. Or maybe I should sell both my RC10 and Maxx and get an MGT. I don't know what to do.

I don't know, my buddy would probably give me enough moola for my Maxx and 10 to pay for a new MGT, and it's supposed to be the ***** hot stuff in MT's. I guess we'll see after they start selling and people start posting about them.

I put the Sirio .18 in my T-maxx and it is sweet. Keep your T-maxx and sell your rc10 than buy the MGT when it comes out.

Can't. I need to get enough money to pay for the MGT out of the stuff I have. Selling my RC10 would only get me between $200-$300, I'd still have to come up with another $200-$300 to buy the MGT. I wouldn't mind having just the MGT.

Ya it's all up to you but I would just save my pennies for it. Who knows how long it will take Assosiated to release the MGT.

I just checked with Tower and they said because the price of the MGT is more than $150, they will give their usual 15% off. That makes the MGT's price just $425. Not bad at all. Now, if it just comes in when it's supposed to.

I can't speak for some of the other companie's stuff out there, but AE's stuff is a lot better quality than that of Traxxas in my opinion. The quality of everything I've seen of theirs is top notch.

ive had traxxas, and they were junk... everything broke w/ ease.. my emaxx back then was only good after i removed the traxxas parts with aftermarket items... My terra crusher on the other hand, i cant break the thing if i tried... i jus keep popping turnbuckles lol like i said we will see what happens.

Maybe if the Terra Crusher went faster than 30mph it would start breaking stuff.

Right now I have the GT and a T-Maxx. I wouldn't try your Dominator with my Maxx, but I would with my GT. vwtrey has an Ofna LX Pro buggy, and while it will pull my GT slightly off the line, the GT will walk away on top end. I'm guessing it does over 50 mph.

To tell you the truth, I may not own my GT and Maxx much longer. A friend of mine might be buying them as early as tomorrow. If he does, I will place a pre-order with Tower for the MGT. I'll keep you posted.

I drive with the guy quite a bit who will probably end up buying it. Chances are, if we end up getting together, he will probably be there.

I contacted AE with some questions about the MGT. I asked how accurate Tower's estimated availability date of mid September was. They said unless there are some unforeseen problems before then, that is an accurate date. I also asked if a starter box can be used to start it. It can't. The only two methods that can be used are the pull start, or a drill and adapter. My last question was to ask about the American flag body. They said this body will only be available with the first run of kits that go out. After that, only the two bodies they have shown on their web site will be available.
