I would buy the following to have on hand:
1.) an extra glow-plug
2.) glow-starter and charger if you don't have that already
3.) threadlock
4.) I assume it comes with a pistol starter? If so, you need a battery and charger for that too.
I don't know what batteries you mean there, but generally, a standard 1600MaH NimH hump pack is great for getting the job done. I like mine with BEC plugs...

And that costs $20 and a little bit of dissasembly to fix.....

That was a stock XSS arm, all new parts right out of the box. I later used the old 25 RTR non-adustable arms I had laying around from that, my previous Savage..

Shock towers, body mounts, a new clutch system, FUEL, lol.
There's a few with the MGT 8.0.
Sorry but my MGT has broken almost every time I've driven it.
This may not be the case with yours, but mine is currently awaiting a new clutch and CB, since the original one melted into the CB.
So, after awaiting the engine to be warrantied (6 months) , now the clutch is trashed.
Keep us posted on your adventures.
