Way to go HPI! I think they may have just made a pretty good
truck into a great truck! I am waivering a little on my decision
to get an Associated Monster GT. Not that much though. I still like the duel start better, and the Monster comes with Reverse.

If you read the article it says they fixed the wheel stripping problem and redisigned the fuel tank with no primer and moved the pickup to the rear of the tank like it should have been. WOOO HOOO !!!

they fixed the stripping problem with the SS aswell.
But the tank filter is still the same (in the front) this is still going to cause running lean problems.
the SS is still going to have the 2 shoe clutch ?? but the RTR is equiped with the new and improved 3 shoe clucth.
how would you be feeling if u just ordered the SS kit then find out there is already a improved RTR version 1 month later.
well now i know, ill be waiting for the RTR.

Has anyone contacted HPI about this "New RTR"?I was just on another forum and they're saying it is a hoax and the pictures and article have been fabricated.I don't know of the reliabilty of thier info but it sounds pretty convincing to me check it out here http://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/sho...5&pagenumber=1

I don't know?If it is a hoax it's a VERY good one.Tower has the 25RTR on thier sire already.http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFLP2&P=0
I asked the guys on the other froum about that but i'm still waiting for a reply.I don't think it is a hoax but anything is possible. That would explain the new "updates" to the RTR and not the SS though. This is weird too.I search on Tower for the truck using the part# and stock# in the link but it's not their? How come it shows it on the link?

If this is a hoax it is a really good one and someone is in deep doo doo for making up that fake Tower link and page. I still say it is coming.

$639.99....
That's a lot of money just for the stripping wheels, fuel tank, and the rotostart, don't you think?? I'll rather buy a Savage SS kit build it my self and get other nice looking wheels, besides I like the pullstart that way you can always know when youre engine is lack of compression....just my $0.02
