    Savage X shifting problems

I'm having a problem shifting my savage x. The problem is that it won't shift. I know about the screw in the tranny but tips please. They are very helpful and appreciated!

I guess the duct tape is doing a good job holding it.

    RE: Savage X shifting problems

how is then engine's tune? If a savage isnt running right they will not shift, unlike automobiles where the shift is based on load, these transmissions shift points are purely based on vehicle speed, so if you have a bad tune you may just not be hitting the shift point speed. that being said if you do have a good tune and the truck is running good (easily wheelie) start backing out the shift point screw in quater turn increments until it shifts and then fine tune the shift point. Turn in(clockwise) =later shift, turn out(counterclockwise)=earlier shift.
    very straight forward, good luck

Right now I can't manage to get a wheelie at all. So what should I do to fix that?
