Choosing a new RC truck
Hi all, this is my first post here, but I've been lurking a bit since my Dad and Ibough a Team Associated SC10 a couple months ago from his friend. He's sick of everything breaking on it so he wants to pass it down to me and get a new truck.
He wants to get an HPISavage for $500, but we really don't have that kind of money so Iwant to convince him to get something cheaper, but Idon't know what.
We got a Castle Creations Mamba Max Pro Esc/Motor Combo(5700kV iirc, Ill check if it matters) and he wants to sell that and put the old one back in the SC10 for me, Iwas wondering if there's a truck we can buy without a motor and put that in it instead?
-It can be a kit or RTR. Iwould prefer a kit because Ilike building things but it doesn't really matter. Am Icorrect that Kits are generally better for the price?
-We have a couple 3c Lipo batters, so it doesn't really matter if it comes with one.
-He wants a 4wd
-We just drive it on the street mostly, but sometimes at a dirt BMX track or a skate park.
-It doesn't neccessarily have to be a monster truck
Let me know if there's anything else you need to know for a reccomendation, thanks.

RE: Choosing a new RC truck
Yep, looks like that's what we're getting, thanks for the suggestion. We only have 3s batteries so it's going to be pretty crazy with them
Edit: Nope, we're getting the Slash now http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXDCHG&P=7 It's a bit more expensive but I think it's more durable so it will be cheaper in the long run. Any reccomendations for a radio?
