Default Is it a CEN Revolution?

Hey all,

I just noticed that CEN has added their new MT, the "Genesis" to their website:

http://www.cenracing.com/cars/genesis/genesis.html

Just wondering what you all think of it? Here's the key points as I pick them out:

Four Wheel Steering System
4 Disk Brake system
12 Oil Filled Adjustable Shocks with Reservoirs
Sealed, 3 fluids filled, low CG, Front, Rear and Center Differentials
Transmitter Controlled Reverse
Large 210cc fuel tank
Titanium Turnbuckles

Anywaits, take a look over that site and lemme know what you all think. I might be adding this one to my christmas list, anyway

Steve

Is there any release date for the truck yet? I would like to get my hands on it.

I'd love to as well

I've not seen a release date yet. Shame the CEN rep doesn't come by these parts anymore

12 shocks though? 4 brakes? That's just mad! lol

All I ask is to see one, even a prototype. I'm 100% certain my mind would be made up then

I hope the radio is upgraded from the one found in the MT2[sm=rolleyes.gif] They should not even include that pos with the truck I bet they all go in the trash like mine is. Im not even going to try to ebay it some unsuspecting person. Other than that the Genisis looks killer. Cant wait to see vids of it in action.

Likewise

Please say it'll have at least a .25 though - I don't wanna buy a truck that won't hit at least 40 with a decent amount of torque

Hell, make it go 60 with good torque and I'll buy two :P

Sorry to hear about your comp bud - anything I can do to help, being an IT Contractor an' all :P

Surely the boss should be happy with you posting here though - you're keeping CEN customers happy

As good an excuse to fool around on the net all day as any in my book

As a side note, I've not had any problems with the radio that came with my CEN TR4 (aside from a dodgy transmitter that was replaced). I believe we get different radios in the UK than you guys in the states though - I got a Dash Saber with mine...

The genisis really looks like it has serious potential I dont have much use for 4ws but overall it seems to be a promising truck.

As for the radio my servos twitch like mad when I touch the truck and it just had a nasty crash after taking off while only 10ft away from me But ohh well new radio system and new front drive cups and Im up and running again. Finishing break-in with 2wd will be fine.

My picco .26 should be here soon too[sm=devious.gif]

looks like a good truck. i hope theres a way to deactivate 4WS at speed because trying to drive a clod straight at 15mph with 4ws is pretty hard.

It will have a engine "BIG" enough to run over anything on its way. I cant tell you what size due to marketing issue.

4 wheel steering will not be a issue as we are testing it and havnt have any issue.

Hello CEN Racing,

This is a reply I made to an easlier Post which you had missed I think.

Hello CEN Racing,

Please Please Please Please Please, if you are going to offer this great looking truck with radio, make sure it is reliable! Just read yet another thread complaining about the radio gears that comes with the MT2.

I think people here would love to see it offered without the radio, or as a kit. Great looking truck & it would be a shame to run it into a tree!

Hey Cen Racing, those extra 2 shocks between the shock towers are ridiculous. Get rid of them. What purpose could they possibly serve? Spend the money on something worthwhile, or lower the MSRP... Just my opinion.

Cal-Torque, those shocks actually work pretty well. It is basically a spare cantilever shock that works as a shock and a roll bar. They make them for maxx's and RC10's. I havent seen one on an rc10 but I have seen them in action on a Maxx, they work well as a roll bar.

Default RE: Is it a CEN Revolution?

So, an expensive piggyback shock roll bar? Why not just have an aluminum roll bar?
Looking at the pics again, wouldn't that shock limit the articulation of the truck as well? By connecting right and left arms, it's no longer independent suspension...
I don't know guys, it seems more like pointless eye candy more than anything useful.
CEN Racing, please explain the logic. Are those extra 2 shocks an option? Regardless, they would be easy enough to take off... Maybe it's for on-road driving?
