Pattertickle

So I've decided to go ahead and convert my 1/6 Smartech truck to brushless but I need a little help/advice on how this transmission works. My question is, on this 2 speed tranny do I need a pinion on both of the spur gears like the nitro motor, or is there a way around it? I considered changing the tranny to a Emaxx tranny but bailed on the idea and ended up replacing my cut up chassis. Any and all advice/help is greatly appreciated, thanx in advance

In most of the vehicles that used a similar 2-speed clutch they went with only one spur in their electric versions.
