Budget build
My son has been wanting a rc so I think we are going to buy him a 1:10 volcano epx pro truck.
Thought it it would be nice to have one to drive with him but I would prefer to build one myself.
A cew questions.
1. What is the cost of a budget build 4wd truck 30-50 mph?
A. 1:10 scale.
B. 1:5 scale
2. Gas or electric?
a lot of tinkering with gas?
thanks for any help.
not into rc cars at all.

You will have to go out of your way to find a monster truck kit. Kits are not the norm. And if you want a 4wd monster truck kit ...MT410 4WD Electric Monster Truck Kit. Go on any online hobby store...kits just aren't out there. It's sad, I know.
When you say "budget", I'm assuming a price tag that is not astronomical?
There's a lot of great low budget radios, ESCs, motors, batteries, servos, etc., etc., etc., to be put in a freshly built RC platform. If it were up to me, I'd be making ECX Ruckus kits for people just like you...and me (I'm all about "the build"). Arrma, ECX, and the other "basher" brands would profit greatly from kits IMO.
Good luck.
