truck has mind of its own
servos operate normal when the engine is not running, but the minute Its running, the truck either A.)takes off without stopping or B.) fluctuates and becomes real jerky. everything is adjusted properly. (linkages and such) Is my reciever taking a **** , picking up sound or vibration frequencies or is the problem somewhere else?

What truck ? What radio ?
Sounds like you have metal-metal contact/vibration somewhere cause RF interference, but it also could be caused by a bad crystal or damage receiver.....check you ride over carefully

My friend had a truck that did that. It ran amuck into a curb at WOT from across a parkinglot. It was a duratrax MT, all he had to do was replace the throttle servo every year or so.

make sure to check the antena. if it is touching any thing metal, there will be alot of interference. if its a CEN then just get a new radio. if you cant find the problem take it to your LHS and see if you can try a different radio system. make sure it is the same setup (antena here, reciever there) amd see if you get the same interference. if not then it must be the radio system.

mine did this too, turned out to be a bad crystal, Try reseating your crystal, if that does not work it may be a bad servo or bad crystal...Mine would get jerky cause I had a failsafe connected and it kept losing signal.

My MBX did the same thing. I bought a new radio & it works perfectly now but a word of advice..... Make sure your connectors (battery, fail safe, upgraded servo) match the receiver. I bought an Airtronics MX 3 & had to hard wire my Ofna fail safe onto my throttle servo & cut the connector off my old steering servo & put it on my Hitec servo in order to get everything to work. Some people say you can cut the little tab off a Futaba connector but mine was still too big even though the metal pin was showing.

Check the least expensive parts first....the batteries. Then work your way up, it's cheaper that way. My Dominator was doing the same thing you're describing. I put in fresh batteries and the problems went away!
