Best Glow Plug for S-25?
Guys,
My stock plug lasted all of 2 tanks so I need to stock up on some when I get to the LHS. What's the best, or at least good, plug for that engine? I am currently using a new OS#8 from my aircraft and it appears to run fine. Also, which plugs seem to last the longest. Thanks.

RE: Best Glow Plug for S-25?
Guys,
I just burned out a brand new OS#8 plug after five minutes. I then replaced it with another OS#8, although an old plug and got a full tank through and it burned out. Am I doing something something wrong to be going through this many plugs? This is my first RC truck, although I have been running glow airplane engines for some time now. Thanks.

The Best Plug To Use In Force .21 based engines, HPI .21& .25, engines belong to the Force Mfg. Family of engines, is the McCoy MC-8. This is a 'medium' heat range long plug. Most Manufacturers recommend a medium heat plug for .21 size Nitro powered car engines. The OS 8 plug is too short for these engines. Check it out, install your plug, then remove the head from the engine and look at the underside of the head button. If you are using an OS plug you will see two or three unused threads on the button. If you are using the proper length long plug, the end of the plug will be even with the Hemi surface of the button.

odonalds makes a great plug as well.
if you are using 30% you might try a cooler plug as well.
you could be running a bit lean to burn them out that fast, also a huge crash can kill one.
think of it like a light bulb filliment, a good wack and it's dead.
