Shock won't fully compress...
I've experienced this problem in a couple of places and wonder what causes it.
Sometimes when you build/rebuild a shock, and after filling it to the brim w/silicon and sealing it up, it won't compress all they way, maybe just half.. Like the holes are plugged, but they're not. Is this just a break-in issue or did I do something wrong.
The most recent thing I've experienced this on is the HB Shock set for the savage, a number of the shocks are like that...Haven't run it yet, so I don't know if it'll change...

RE: Shock won't fully compress...
You have to much oil in the shock .
As you compress the shock the shaft is going into the shock body displacing the oil, if it is to full there is no room for the shaft . You cant compress a liquid

Yeah dont fill the oil up to the edge. Pull the shaft all the way down and fill up the fluid until there is a few mm left at the top then screw the cap on slightly...then start pushing the shaft up and tightening the cap. If you did it correctly you should be able to move the shaft freely up and down.
