RC-Solutions skidplate problems
I just received my new RC-Solutions skidplates (http://www.rc-solutions.com) and am having problems installing them Of course they are closed on weekends and I want to run today!
The skids are slightly different than the pics at their site, the top edge is now bent back over at about a 90 degree bend and it interferes with my stock bumper mounts (front and rear) because it causes significant preload when I tighten the skid mounting screws into the bottom of the bulkheads.
Anybody else used these skidplates and had similiar problems? How did you fix it? I'm thinking about trying to bend em back to almost a 180 degree bend (spring steel may be hard to do and cause cracking), cutting them down shorter with a dremel, or running as is. If I run as is they are straining the mounting screws.
BTW, I want to run bumpers because I do alot of big jumps and bashing.

RE: <span class=
Yes, they are made to runwithout bumpers, didn't know that when I orderd em. I ended up cutting em down to bare minimum just to bolt it together and then I run RPM skids under that for wear protection...so far so good.
