RE: biggest wheels
I have a gen. 1 savage and highly recommend the hot bodies wheels and tires. Theyre 7 inch tires look real good and won't strain your servo like the 8 1/2 jumbo kongs. 7 inchers look way better, jumbo kongs ridiculous. My two cents.

RE: biggest wheels
ok, so nothing bigger then a jumbo kong, ?
i am thinking for outback bashing some bigger then stock wheels might be a new feel the stock, and save my pins for the track.
anyone got a link or pics of jumbo kongs or the ufo's

RE: biggest wheels
I have seen the Jumbo Kongs on a E-Maxx.
If you want the worst looking tires that money can buy, then get them.
They look awful. At first when I saw them I thought that they were plastic, second they are way to big, third they are too heavy and bulky and will take down performance, and fourth at $100 for a set of 4 there would be no way that I would ever buy them.
I would rather spend $100 on beadlocks then buy the Jumbo Kongs.
But that is just my opinion.

RE: biggest wheels
Ok, first of all he didn't even say he had a maxx. He said he had a savage.
Don't put down the maxx just because you have had a bad experience with it.
I am sick and tired of looking on this forum everyday and people keep putting down everybody else's truck because they think that their truck is the best.

1st comment on the tires -
The jumbo kongs are definately something that will draw a croud trying to figure out with you have.... I think I would get them if they cost under $50 for all 4 with rims. But I won't pay $100. I do agree they would look to big and kind of weird for the truck.
2nd comment on the bashing -
No one asked what truck was better - like it seems like a question that gets asked to many time on here... JMO

RE: biggest wheels
I run HB tires & rims on occasion. They look good if you like big & flashy but they kill low end power & you'll definately need a high torque servo (150+). Run them on a tight on road track if you want a good laugh. I'm not trying to knock them, I still run them when I want something different or I want the ground clearance. Just be sure to take a few small jumps 1st. They REALLY affect the way the truck handles in the air.

RE: biggest wheels
I have Jumbo Kongs on my Savage and they looks great. Not for everyday use. But Makes it stick out in a crowd. I wouldn't say they are over prices either. By the time you buy rims and tires it will usually run you around 60-80 anyways. I paid $80 at my LHS. I see people trashing T-Maxx's all the time on here, Personnally is my own experiance I have not had good luck with Traxxas products(Never owned a T-Maxx though). My Neighbor Has a Tmaxx with a Spiro 18 in it and The Thing can barely keep the front wheels on the ground. He says he has never really broken any parts. I saw buy what ever truck you want and stop trashing everyone elses. But in My Own opinion the Savage is a great all around Truck. Very Durable.

RE: biggest wheels
I have had good luck with my kids Traxxas bandits. Dont know If I will say the Bandits are good after a brushless motor gets put in them. We will see.
The tire costs for RC as a whole not just trucks is way expensive. I like the look of the Jumbo kongs. For my wifes TMaxx I would like to get new tires and rims. But it has to wait till spring or summer. I blew my RC budget already.

RE: biggest wheels
ive got a savage with 10 inch mini wheels but it puts massive strain on the engine etc so hardly ever run it not to mention had to put steering stoppers on it so it only turns like 10degrees hate nitros anyway so it will jus be sold on probably

RE: biggest wheels
Here is a Picture of my Savage with Jumbo Kong's on it. Handles good for the tires size. Stopping is pretty bad though. As for crawling, When I had my 21BB in it it did pretty bad, didn't have enough Torque. I just put in a HPI 25SS motor in it but havn't run it yet. Hoping it is better
