Default TMaxx EZ Start problem "Please Help"

I installed a Fantom 18 in my Maxx -

Now I have a problem with the EZ Start - Sometimes it turns the motor over and sometimes it does not.

I am using an external glow ignitor. I do not like using the blue wire thing.

When it does not turn the motor over the little green light is not on either. Last night I got it to start before going to bed. This morning I was going to break it in. Now I can not get it started at all again. Anyone do a Sirio or Fantom upgrade that had similar problem?

Sounds like an electrical problem. Have you checked to make sure you have a proper connection to the engine case. That the starter motor connectors are on properly and tight? Could be a faulty switch on the ezstart, bad battery connection, loose connectors in the ezstart (the part that plugs into the T-Maxx connector), bad connector/terminal on the connector on the T-Maxx. Have you another ezstart unit you can try so as to eliminate a faulty ezstart box?
Just a few suggestions to get looking!!

I recharged the battery to the EZ starts and now I can get it to fire up - but not stay running now. As soon as it fires up it shuts off. Almost like not enough fuel. I have a long fuel tube so trying to go with a shorter one now and see what happens.

Yeah I was just going to say to charge up the battery that happens to my 2.5 and when I charge the battery it turns it over right away... Try a new glow plug in your fantom that might help

You might try leaning out the carb just a wee bit. I had to do this on my Savage when I fired it up for the first time. I bled a whole battery pack trying to get the dirty thing to fire. Once I leaned the carb it fired right up! Just be sure to watch those temps if you do.[:@]

It ends up from factory the low end was turned all the way in. I turned out and now it stays running fine. Now I need new gears. I think I stripped a gear when the TRX 2.5 was still in it. Trying to figure out is it a diff or tranny gear.
