RE: XTM Mammoth PIX..
Thats funny, those are actually my friend Chads pics from us going to the skate park this past Saturday. The Mammoth is DEFINITELY going to be a contender for top monster truck. It was out jumping my 21 Savge AS WELL as our other friends Savage SS. IT's FAST AS HELL and the transmission shifts SO SMOOTH. I like the truck and wish I had the money for one. It really does jump well, but skate park truck we had out there including a Mad Force, Savages and Maxxes mostly modded
By the way, the second pic is my buddy Dave checking out his broken A-arm from a double back flip. The video is on RCPICS.com

RE: <span class=
It is a cool truck.
But I'm wondering about the shock configuration. Is that "side-by-side" dual shock setup what people refer to as being a "truggy"? I have to think that the "regular" MT "front/back" setup would make for a stronger, more stable suspension.
Frankly, I don't see why this truck even needs dual shocks at each wheel. I think one BIG, high-tech shock would be just as good. I'm thinking they figured people want 8 shocks on their Monsters, so they put 'em in, even if it doesn't really add anything but more dampening at a single point.

Double flip or not, I didn't think ANY 1/8 scale truck could EVER break a part like this. Only Maxxes can do that
Seriously, that injury is EXACTLY the kind of thing I was talking about when I mentioned that I think the traditional shock setup makes for a stronger A-arm/suspension assembly!! Might it have saved this arm? Who knows, but it's weird that I questioned the stability of this setup & THEN notice that there's a cracked arm involved. And, yes, I DO know that skate parks are cement, and almost any truck might crack something in that environment. Still, big truck + questionable arm setup=trouble!
