If anyone knows about or have this truck, please let me know the ups and downs on it before I get one. Thanks.

Default RE: MONSTER GT ANYONE??

I'll list the cons first, there are only a couple obvious ones so far.

Steering servo is too slow, but has decent power. 6.0 volt rx pack helps.
Fake Piggy Back shocks, all plastic
Harder than hell to get ahold of one right now.

Pros

The .21 is suprisingly powerful and moves the MGT along at a pretty good clip.

2 speed is super smooth, I can actually hold a wheelie while shifting.

reverse is super smooth also.

Radio has Throttle and Steering endpoints, unheard of on RTR radios. Oh ya, charging jack too.

Electronics come out of the truck with 4 screws, plus the 3 servo horn screws. Super easy to work on.

Diffs are actual 4 gear bevel and sealed. The ring and pinion is actually spiral cut also for a better mesh.

One of my MGT's has a .26 picco in it and everything is holding up great.

Been doing lots of 6-8 foot jumping and only had one leaky shock and two bumper mount screws that broke.

Tires are suprisingly light for their size, but Proline 40 series fit perfect on the truck.

Tuned pipe is included

Strongest driveline on an RTR I've seen yet. Blows the Savage and T-Maxx drivelines away, and doesn't wear like the Ofna's.

It also includes one of the best 2 stage buggy filters on the market.

Includes aluminum wheel hexes.

It's also suprisingly nimble for it's size. With some supension tuning and a good steering servo, it might be a track contender in the monster truck class.
