Default Fuel economy?

Hey all... I'm debating between getting the MT-2 brand new (because I never see a used one on ebay) or get a used savage, 21 or 25. I'm guessing both will be about the same. I'm a poor student, so all costs must be minimized! My question is, how much faster is an ounce of fuel in a Salvage used as compared to a small block engine truck?

Thanks.

CEN MT-2... though it doesn't matter because they both have the same size engines....

So is the fuel consumption difference that big?

I would think its less because they run at a lower RPM than small blocks. I mean i ran outta fuel the same time as my friends did. I had a 150cc tank with a EPIC .18 big bore on my terra crusher, they both had Hyper 8 ports with 125cc tanks.

alright, the cen mt 2 has a 75 cc fuel tank it'll last 7- 10 minutes. the savage has a 160 cc fuel tank which will last 7- 10 minutes. you will go through fuel more than twice as fast if you got a savage compared to an mt 2. thats the price for power!

75 cc fuel tank will not last anywhere near 10 minutes :P 6-8 at most.

Caseyddr, Then how come my Cen MT2 lasts ten minutes or so on a tank of gas?

Mop, Get the Cen, you will be happier with a new truck. I am speaking from experience. I have an MT2 that I got used. Its a great truck, I have just had a lot of headaches that the other owner dicided not to address before selling it. I really like my Cen, it is a great car for anyone. I have a quart of fuel that I bought when I got it, and I have run like eight or nine tanks and still have half the quart plus half a squeeze bottle. So it doesn't run through fuel super fast. but you know its using it. Get the MT2, you will be happier. Just my two cents though.
