RE: Air Filter Oil
I soak my air filter element in fuel, and then wring out all the dirt. I repeat that process until it is clean. The element will naturally expand when exposed to fuel, so wait until it is dry to do anything with it. Yes, you have to use air filter oil. It catches the fine particles. Fuel will not work as a substitue for actual air cleaner oil. Go out and get some. I use some Associated GT oil. Its blue and real sticky. I suppose you could even use Marvel's Mystery Oil for an air cleaner oil if you wanted to. The Mystery Oil also works as after run oil.
