War of the truggies!!!! GS truggy Vs' Mammoth
Ok guys, which is the better truggy? The way i see it, the GS has more experience in this department. After all, they've been doing buggies for quite some time now. What about the mammoth? It looks a little goofy, almost like its too long. Im worried the chassis might flex. Which truggy would you buy? if you were gonna buy a truggy? and why?
Thanks, Matt

Most of my experiance in ofna buggys and savage's and t-maxx's but i think i would go with the GS out of the two because of the same reason you said GS has more experiance in that area and the mammoth does look goofy to me.

RE: War of the truggies!!!! GS truggy Vs' Mammoth
I was able to run pretty quick with the Mammoth, but after my truck broke a GS won the race in the hands of a GS Team driver. The Mammoth is at a disadvantage inthe racing dept., not because of handling though, but because of brittle wheels and the truck using XTM's own special Hex. I mean, if you can't make durable wheels, make it so your customers have options at least?............The GS truck has Huge spacers to mount the truck wheels, about an inch deep, which looks like it would put an enormous strain on bearings and such?....With a little work, either could win though, as long as Proline or someone makes wheels to fit the Mammoth anyway......, Jim

You are correct about the wheels. Do you know they have a conversion kit for to use the T-maxx or Savage wheels. The part #s are 146110 and 146112. Mine came in right after Christmas both sets will cost a total of $25 and it comes with all the hardware needed.

WoW, check out OFNA, they have a couple of truggies, but in my opinion I would choose the SUT(GS Racing). I am really interested in selling my T-Maxx to get a truggy so I can race at the local tracks a little more competitively. So far I have choosen the SUT for my #1 choice. [X(]

The mammoth is a really nice truck, my friend just got one. I always thought it looked goofy in pictures but up cloose it looks really nice. It has nice handling, and is extremly fast. It looks really durable although we never got a chance to give it a good beating yet. Can't forget about that XTM 24.7, thats a major plus.

get the mammoth its a really awesome truck and has a great engine! mine is having a fuel problem but when i have run it it has been super fast with good hand;ing and breaking the gs is going to be a better handling truck because it is smaller but i would still get the mammoth because it is just awesome[>:]

IF they do a good job on it;the Hot Bodies new truggy with the longer arms and no large off-set wheels looks good. That is the main down fall of most converted buggies besides gearing.

A guy brought a Mammoth out to the track a few weeks back, I was very unimpressed
so was he, the thing look aweful on the track, it was his first day out and he was trying to sell it right after the race
Dominator better than GS storm??
I have 2 Doms, a H7 truggy conversion
the Doms pretty good, but only the conversion will keep up with my buddies and their SUTs
The hot bodies does look interesting though
So is your sweet heart, isn't that her in your avatar??

I have the SUT Pro. It came as a kit with all the hop up already.(No engine or radio) Then on GS's website they have their racers direct set up for his truck. I followed this along with my build instructions. So my truck is set up just like his. This sunday was my first race with it. It was the best handling truck out there. I came in third to two other SUT's RTR though. Mine out handled and out performed just my driving needs to be worked on. Lapped tmaxx and savages all day long. I used to race a savage, but this is hands down better. The truck actually made me a better driver, not just a great driver that why I need practice, practice.
