How do I dial them in, and if I do that and it's still not to my liking (I want to stop on a dime), how can I upgrade?

You may have to adjust the brake linkages. The best way to stop it in a dime is by upgrading the throttle servo to a high torque servo. I have done this to all my trucks, which made them flip forward when full brakes were applied sometimes.

If your brakes are weak and your steering is slow then your receiver is not letting the full 6 volts through to the servos. A known work around is to remove the power plug from it's usual port and plug it into the channel 4 port in the receiver. This bypasses the EBC circuit and sends the full 6 volts to the servos to give you the braking your looking for. No one has reported any problems from doing this but AE says you're on your own if you have troubles. It does make a big difference.
