My Dad thinks I'm absolutely crazy because I spend so much on R/C. He would never get into it. I've been trying for 10 years now and have gotten no where with him. I thaught it was something we could do together but he refuses to spend the money.

I've got my dad, two uncles, best friend and my little brother into the hobby...my dad flew planes before I got him into cars too and he's getting me into flying planes...Me and my dad each have a sportmaxx and my uncle and my best friend has a t-maxx, I got my brother an electric stampede for christmas and he's already wanting an e-maxx and my other uncle has two cars, but he'll probably end up getting a MT soon.

Man I am 25 and I was 24 when I got started with RC's. I got my younger brother into it but my Dad could care less. I will prolly get my nephew a decent electric for his birthday this year.

I'm 26. My Dad bought me my first "real" R/C when I was 10. It was a Blackfoot. We built it together, and we both had alot of fun with it for a few years. Then I got out of the hobby for a long time, playing and working on big 2-strokes (4-wheelers and dirt bikes). I got my Tmaxx about a year ago, and my Dad digs it. He won't buy one though because his driving skills suck, and he'd rather break mine than buy his own.

I bought each of my sons a Traxxas Bandit - they still have them. They also drive my wife's TMaxx and my Hyper 7 PBS. They now each have the Traxxas Bandits BUT also share an OFNA 9.5 RTR. They are ages 6 and 7.

well my dad likes to drive my hyper 7 with a Sirio .21. He isn't a good driver tho. He hit his house, went through his garden, and hit a well. Normally if I hit that stuff he would of got mad at me. People are weird sometimes. I hope to have a son some day to pass this hobby on to.

Its never to late to try to get someone hooked. I'm 38 and I got a few of my "old" friends hooked on it this year. Just remember the old saying (and its still true).
The Only Difference between Men and Boys is the price of their toys.
And believe me thats true.

I'm a 45 year old dad who loves this crap! I enjoy it more then my 19 year old son. Guess I get to inherit his 2.5 T-maxx. Oh...I have a terra crusher hummer style.
