Nope, i dont have one, but i want one. I was at the local track last week, and i saw one there. The owner was real cool, and handed me the remote. I liked it even with the cheap servo, and dead batts. I just got back from the track again, talking with the same guy. We swapped trucks for a while, and he had a new servo, and good batts. The GS truck is AWESOME!!! Nothing else to say about it...Just plain awesome!!!

That's good to here about your experience ThermalRD. Everything that I'm reading says that it's finishing in the top at the tracks. I'll post some picks when I get it. I should be getting it around the end of this month hopefully.

Man, i've driven most of these MT's, and raced with the rest. Nothing compares on a track to that GS truck. I want one bad. Its very strong, and extremely agile. Watching that thing drift thru the sweeper is really awesome. Im gonna throw some more Factor Team parts on my MGT, and buy the HCR parts i need for my savage, and then im getting a GS. That will be the last truck i buy until the Losi, and Traxxas trucks come out. Oh, and definitely hook us up on pics.

ThermalRD, I noticed your location, so I have to ask: Where is a local track?

They are getting harder and harder to get. It sounds like GS is going to cut Horizon out of the picture and until they open their office they could get scarce.

i like that isea. never was too fond of horizon anyway.
btw- my gs truggy is still kickin butt! no breaks whatsoever. i still havent installed the 12 tooth clutch bell but im sure when i do it'll really rock.
i put 5k oil in the center diff but left the front and rear open because its alomost too twitchy. i may add 3k in the front and maybe 500 in the rear, but ill have to wait for the track to get rebuilt here before i know exactly what to do.

im sure it clean house in the mt class this year no matter how i set it up tho!

I'm jealous...

I am waiting patiently for mine to arrive, I think the lhs orders from horizon, not sure if the memo mentioned above will affect order or not will have to call tomorrow. Oh well can't run it yet anyways, because it like 0 degrees here in chicago. But it sure would look nice sitting on my workbench next to my savage and 2 ofna buggies.

K car..

Did you get the one with the jrx3 radio? thats the one I ordered

Looks good, stretch. Is this the same stretch from RCNT? If so, PM me, whats up.

For anyone having a hard time getting this truck, two of my LHS's have tons in stock and ship mail order. PM me if you need the phone numbers or email addresses.

cemeb4bk---i got the one with the cheap radio. took it out first thing and installed an airtronics 94359 on the steering and a hitec 925 on the throttle along with my jr xs3. since you had the opportunity to get the jr radio it is probably best (i got mine before the jr was offered). i gave the stock radio away to a friend and he cant get it to work right. what a pos! i never even used it!

judging by my past experience with jr you will be very happy. congrats!

I have one of these on order from my LHS too! I raced against a one of these and it seems really hooked up. Was out performing my Savage that I've had for almost a year now. The guy was just racing it in stock form with the exception of the tires and steering servo. He was running with the Dominators no problem too! After seeing this truck run I decided to gice up the ol'Savge and get the SUT, I just couldn't bring myself to trade the Savage in for a DOm but the SUT is a different story. I'm hoping to get some set-up info for this truck too! ie... diff oil, shocks, camber, camber link postions, caster, sway bar all that kind of stuff. Anyone been working with this yet?

Thanks K car

Yes I have the JR XS3 radio but I figured for 30 bucks more get the one with the JR just as insurance or trade bait. You never know I may accidently drop my Xs3 and now I will have a spare just have to adjudt receiver to the crystal in transmitter.

I so can't wait for it.

I'm putting in my own radio gear and picked up a good Hitec mg servo when I bought it. The included 27mhz fm radio is pretty cheesey to say the least. I still have my Airtronics Agressor and it will handle 6 cars. I won't be running it until it dries out a little but I may be hopping it up a bit.

I wonder whatever made you think that it was me NA. I thought that I was too low on the radar to be spotted. So much for sneaking around.

I haven't had enough dry weather to get it dirty yet.

We need an official thread for hybrids, truggies, mt unlimited or whatever the politically correct name should be. They are going to become mighty popular. With the manufacturers getting in and companies like JT making mt conversion kits for Mugen, Kyosho, Ofna, and more. I believe you'll start to see more requests from the forum members for some designated space to get non-fragmented feedback. What are your thoughts??
My 2 cents.

This what I've learned so far from the guy I know who has one and is racing it. He's running it with the stock springs, I guess the medium dual rate springs were not stiff enough. Don't know about shock oil or diff oil. he said he has not opened them because the truck works great just like it is. I believe him too! He is giving me more than I can handle with my Savage and is cleaning out the Dominators too! However he has broken the arm mount screws, even after he changed them from aluminum to steel ones. Broke the rear bumber also. The bumbers have no give what-so-ever. The Storm bumbers fit right on there no problem, from what he said. He also has put on Strom metal chassis braces. The thing has a ton of bottom end with the motor that comes on it. However it really seems like to me that it has way too much play in the arms. The look like it would be real hard on the hub bearings too.

I'm amazed at the reports that I'm getting locally about the performance of this truck. I stopped by one of my lhs last night and I was told that it was winning at Antioch. I keep hearing that it's very quick and doesn't tip over. I have yet to see one perform let alone start mine up yet. Feels like I'm a kid in a candy store, the owner just said that "you can fill your pockets but you can't put any in your mouth". I have another hybrid that has a major amount of time and money invested in it and I'm beginning to wonder if a $500 rtr is going to kick it's rear.

I tell you what every time that thing flips over from a bad jump it seamed to land on it's wheels! My guess is from the low CG the corner speed is allot better than my Savage and the lowend of the motor is just plain better than what with the Hyper 8 port geared at 14/52.
