Ran my MGT for the first time since break-in the other day. What a beast. It's FAST. I don't want to hear ANYONE say it's not fast enough.

One small thing though. When I press the button to switch into reverse, sometimes it doesn't work right away. Sometimes it takes a second or two to engage, sometimes it doesn't work at all for a while...like, I press it, and it just won't go into reverse. So I sit there pressing and pressing, and eventually it will go. Anything specific that that could be?

Anyway. Soooo happy with it. It rips. I threw a spacer above each spring, to stiffen the suspension up a bit, and it works good. As far as handling terrain? OMG, it can go ANYWHERE. I ran it on the lot where my new house is being built, and it ran over ruts from bulldozer and truck tires 10 inches deep like it was nothing. No hesitation.

Totally happy w/my decision to buy the Monster GT.

Go ahead, don't just post some stupid response. What don't you believe? That it's not fast enough for a Monster Truck? That it doesn't handle rough terrain like a beast?

What?

Actually... I live in Baltimore. Wanna run 'em?

It's definitely fast enough for a monster truck. If I race it, it will only be for fun, not serious competition.

Monster trucks are for offroad bashing and jumping...

(Read my above edit, I live 10 minutes away from you... tryin' to run 'em?)

I didn't know Travis had an R/C out. I haven't seen him in a few years. Used to ride with him every once in a while (BMX/mountain bikes, and some dirtbiking).

Hardly a junior.

Charlie (duh), and I live in White Marsh. I'm not talking about racing you, just running R/Cs... Any good spots?

AHEM.....

Please use the "PM" (stands for Private Message) feature to personally challenge others or rebutt their opinion.
No reason for open hostility!

And remember that "speed" is TOTALLY subjective. 90Mph is a phenomenal speed while 44,300 is considered LOW for a particle trying to escape getting into orbit.

Take it easy,
Ram

I'm not sure why I come to this forum. Overall it must have the most immature members I've ever seen.

Updated so I'm on topic also:

MGT is great, had mine for almost a month. I totally agree.

If it weren't for the many great people here, I often wonder the same. It's unfortunate. The site does contain some fantastic information though.

Thats it. I am locking this thread. RCU will NOT tolerate any more bashing in the forums. Continued abuse of this policy will result in possible further action.

GreekTTCharlie - Please feel free to start a new thread regarding your MGT review. Thank you.
