to get the oneway bearing off you have to get this round C clip off. I hold the oneway to the spur. Its hard to get off...

Do you have the spurs off of the shaft going into the pinion for the diff? If not, there is a set screw on the centrifugial shifter for second gear, undo that screw and the shifter will come off, then pull the snap ring off of the pinion shaft and the oneway bearing and first gear will come off.

I know what you're talking about...if you already got the gears and the centrifugal doo-hickie that goes in front of them off then I believe you're talking about separating the two gears? Mine kinda sticks and I'll typically take a small screwdriver and go around between the gears and gently pry until it comes off...when you put it back together rub a little bit of after run oil around the inside of the bearing on the second gear spur and the outside of the one way bearing on the first gear spur.

I must be lucky, my gears just slide right off.

it is a light press fit between the gears and the bearing.
2 screwdrivers and a little careful prying will do the triek.

how did you get the gears off the clutch bell? was there loctite on them?
I gave up and bought a new bell with the gears.

you hit it right on the button. that is exactly what my problem is. i already tried using a flat head screwdriver but maybe i didnt try forcefully enough. ill giv it another try. thanks for all of the advice.
