hi,
my my exhaust pipe for my smartech with a .15 is leaking in the joints. i have tried to use silicon but it did not work. any suggesgions? also i was thinking about getting a tuned pipe, is it true that these make the vehicle faster?? also will a different brand tuned pipe suited for a .15 fit mine?

You will see a difference in over all performance with a tuned pipe. Just about any brand will be a big improvement over the stock smarttech muffler. Just be sure to get one for a .15 size engine. (I wouldn't spend a whole lot of money to get top of the line, just get a good priced pipe.)

If it's leaking at the coupler, go to the LHS and buy a new coupler. If the muffler itself is leaking, throw it away instead of wasting materials and time on it.

J.B. WELD is an epoxy type material that woeks great on that type of thing. Local hardware store should have it, cheap too.

thanks for your help mate (cyclejerk) but i rekon i'll just chuck the mongrel, its not worth playin around with, and the smartech could do with some improved performance
