Default SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

I'm still in the tuning process of my Ofna Mp Sport, and I had it perfect the other day. I stripped a spur, changed it to a metal one, and now I was trying to finish my break in. Now my question is...howcome everytime I get the car to idle and give it throttle, the engine dies?? It was not doing this the other day. I know I'm either too rich or too lean, but I can't remember which one! HELP!!

you are most likely rich. It sounds like its flooding when you hit the trottle.

Most likely you are to rich on the bottom end, it loads up when it idles then dies when you try to open it up. Let it idle for a bit then pick it up and see if you can clear it out with the wheels off the ground. If it doesnt die without the load on it then you are too rich. If it does the same thing (dies when you hit the gas) then you may be to lean on the high side and it dies because it goes lean on the low speed to high speed transition.

thanks big j. I leaned it out on the top end and it ran for about a half a tank, and then it died. i crank it again and it ran for a little more, but was acting like it wanted to die, then it did. now, it won't crank period. it seemed to be getting good smoke, but it also seemed revved real high and not really going that fast. any clues?? but i think you were right about me being too rich. holla back at me

If you ran it for a while and it died chances are you leaned it out to much. Make sure you make your adjustments in small increments and drive it around a bit in between adjustments. It takes it a bit to take the new settings. Was it sputtering or making any types of strange sounds when it was at full throtle?

Don't rev it up real high off the ground, you could toast the motor.

also another thing to do is let it warm up before adjusting its always a good idea.

"Alteramod" is right. I run my truck rich when its cold out or when i'm really bashing it around so I richen it up abit. let it idle for 15 seconds, then very slowly give it throttle. If it starts to almost shut off, quickly let it idle again and wait another 5 seconds at a time. After it runs fine, top off the tank and go kick some *****[>:]

thanks guys. i've done all you said, and it works fine. it's fast as hell, but after i stopped running yesterday, i let it cool down some, went to run it again, and then the steering servo would't turn. i checked the batteries, but no dice, it woldn't work. one minute it was turning fine, and the next minute it wouldn't turn at all. the throttle servo still works, but not the steering!! if i'm not mistaking, don't they run off the same batteries??
