Really depends on what your planning on doing. If you're racing go for the T-Maxx and upgrade from there. If you're bashing go for the Savage and, well upgrade from there as you please. I personally have the T-Maxx for bashing so I'm gonna get the new Fantom in a few days. The T-Maxx isn't really a good engine for some people, but great for others. I think all the people that complain about the 2.5's got a lemon (they must have made a lot of lemons). I got a lemon I guess. I've never personally driven a Savage, but people say it's a great truck, as well with the T-Maxx. It's all just relying on your personal needs.

a friend purchesed a savege and from the get go the truck did not perform very good. it is in the shop to try to get it running the way it should. the choice is yours.
